Dr. Syngman Rhee Birthday Celebration (2017)

On April 2, 2017, Dong Ji Hoi sponsored the annual Dr. Syngman Rhee Birthday Celebration at Korean Christian Church on Liliha Street. The program was emceed by Dong Ji Hoi President, Dr. Edmund Whang. Guest speaker, Mrs. Duk Hee Murabayashi, provided an illuminating talk on the history of the local churches that were founded by Dr. Rhee. The program also included a brief ceremony by the Korean Veterans of Hawaii led by Mr. Jimmy Shim, which concluded with a salute led by Mr. Donald C. Kim, former Dong Ji Hoi Board of Director. Lunch was provided in the Syngman Rhee Fellowship Hall including Korean Dduk donated by Mr. Peter Cho, Dong Ji Hoi Board of Director.
